Strawberry Chia Jam

This is such an easy recipe, you must try it! You can add a sweetener if you like to suit your taste. But if your strawberries are sweet enough you certainly don’t need to. My berries were not very ripe and a little sour so I added a tablespoon of date syrup, which changed the recipe from being totally raw. It was delicious nonetheless.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, leaves removed

  • 2 TBS chia seeds

Method

  1. Mash the strawberries to a consistency you prefer. I cut them up small and used a potato masher. I like mine chunky. You could also put them in a food processor if you want a smoother jam but be careful not to process too much or the mixture will become very airy and you will lose the vibrant color of the berries!

  2. Add the chia seeds and mix well.

  3. Add love! 💗

  4. Refrigerate (stays fresh for about a week).

Makes about 3 cups. Enjoy!
